Amitabh Bachchan statue installed at a temple in Kolkata
Kolkata, May 12 : As Amitabh Bachchan’s “Sarkar 3” hit the screens today, a full size megastar statue was installed in a temple of the Bengal Fans Association Amitabh Bachchan.
The statue was carved by Subrata Bose.
“We installed the 25-kg statue in a temple dedicated to Bachchan after offering prayers for the success of his film,” said ABFA Secretary of State Sanjay Patodiya.
“The six-foot fiberglass statue, two inches tall, is a little bigger than the actual height of the Shahenshah, and we did it to make it appealing,” he added.
Fans of today, including members of the association, have revealed themselves in large numbers dressed as Bachchan’s character, Subhash Nagre, directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
