George Michael died of natural causes
London,Mar 7 : Pop star George Michael, who was found dead in his home in the UK last December, died of natural causes, a coroner confirmed.
The 53-year-old man underwent dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and foie gras, Darren Salter, senior coroner for Oxfordshire, said in his report on “unexplained” death.
The Thames Valley police said the singer’s death at his home in Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, was unexplained but not suspect and that a first post-mortem examination was “inconclusive.”
The coroner said in a statement: “Investigations into the death of George Michael were concluded and the final post-mortem report received. As there is a confirmed natural cause of death, being cardiomyopathy dilated with myocarditis and foie gras, Stopped and it is not necessary for any investigation or other investigation.
“No further updates will be provided and the family asks the media and the public to respect their privacy.”
Dilated Cardiomyopathy is a disease that causes the heart muscle to become stretched and thin and unable to pump blood around the body effectively.
Michael Fadi’s partner Fawaz had found the dead star in bed when he arrived to wake him up before a Christmas lunch scheduled for December 2016. He described Michael as a “beautiful person” and a “kind and generous man” .
The singer “Careless Whisper” and “Last Christmas” was born Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou in 1963. He was one of the best-sellers in the world who sold more than 100 million albums throughout his career, first As a member of Wham and as a solo artist.
