Initially felt intimidated by Farhan: Diana Penty
Mumbai, Sep 9 PTI : Cast for the first time alongside Farhan Akhtar in his upcoming “Lucknow Central”, actor Diana Penty said he was a little intimidated by the actor-director at the beginning.
The 31-year-old actor said she was frightened by Akhtar and that he was working with him was an “exhilarating” experience.
“He is a multi-talented person. Initially, I felt a little intimidated by him … I was a little nervous but later everything went well.
“I thank him for making me feel at ease.
There’s a lot to learn from him, “says Diana PTI.
The actor “Cocktail” said before starting to shoot for the film, the duo did some reading sessions to break the ice.
“It was an opportunity to get together, work and give our best. There was never any problem with him, I guess I did (referring to feeling intimidated) in my head “.
Diana says the star “Rock On” is a complete professional, who has always been well prepared on sets with his lines.
“There has never been a moment when he has forgotten his lines or his dialogues, there are actors who learn or do things about sets, while Farhan has come prepared. All these things help you as co- actor, “she said.
The actor plays an NGO worker Gayatri Kashyap.
Speaking of her role, Diana says, “I sat down with Ranjit Tiwari (director) as he lived with the story and he knows exactly what he wants from a character.
“I’ve been discussing things with him, helping you get more direction, I’m doing a lot of reading, and drawing the nuances of my character from my real-life experiences.”
Also with Gippy Grewal, Deepak Dobriyal, Ronit Roy, Ravi Kissen and Rajesh Sharma in essential roles, the film is expected to air on 15 September.
